Mindfulness is knowing where your mind is. Mindfulness can be practised anywhere any time, by focusing your attention to one thing and when your mind wanders, notice this and gently bring it back.
Mindfulness meditation is a combination of focus and being still. There are many meditations you can blend with mindfulness, so long as you are continually observing your attention, is it wandering to a thought, a sound, the future or past or are you still focused, simple.
Mindfulness is a skill, which can be challenging to master and take a long time, it is also, not simple or easy because, whatever you are feeling, mindfulness is working with this be it good or bad.
There are great benefits to practising mindfulness. You create space in your life where there probably wasn’t any and at the same time, if you practise it 10 mins a day, effectively (I can explain in detail) for long enough you may naturally reduce blood pressure, hypertension, stress and increase your positive emotion, mood, compassion for others and so much more.
Who wouldn’t want a life like that! Or, to work with a team like that!
